Housewife, son stabbed to death in Lipa City

LIPA CITY, Batangas – A 41-year-old housewife and her son were found dead with stab wounds in Barangay Pangao here on Monday afternoon, Oct. 22.

Police identified the victims as Rhona and Kurt Lalusin.

The victims’ neighbor, Eva Latorre Malabanan, found the victims when she arrived at their house.

Malabanan reported her discovery to the police. 

Rhona was lying on the floor without a lower garment and sustained stab wounds in the body.

Kurt was lying in his bedroom with a stab wound in the face.

Follow-up investigation is ongoing.

Drowning

A one-year-old boy drowned in an open canal in San Andres, Quezon on Monday morning.

Police said the victim, Matheo, was sleeping with his mother when he suddenly got up and went outside.

The victim fell into an open canal and drowned.

His mother noticed him missing and sought the help of authorities who found him floating on a creek.

Matheo was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
