Agsunta releases all-original EP 'Kung Sino Tamaan'

Filipino alternative rock band Agsunta, known for their popular YouTube music covers, recently made a significant milestone by releasing a five-track all-original Extended Play (EP) titled “Kung Sino Tamaan” on Oct. 18.

This release is under Cornerstone Music, which serves as the official record label of Cornerstone Entertainment.

Lead vocalist Jireh Singon shared that the process of completing the EP took approximately six months to a year. He mentioned that they faced challenges in coordinating timing and scheduling, which contributed to the length of the production process.

“Matagal na din talaga namin gustong gumawa ng EP na all originals. Kaya this time, ito na talaga yung panahon, siguro dahil rin nagkaroon kami ng pagkakataon maging part ng Cornerstone,“ Jireh commented in an exclusive interview. 

(For some time, we have been eager to create an all-original EP. This time, it truly felt like the perfect moment to pursue this project, especially since we had the chance to join Cornerstone. This opportunity seemed to align perfectly with our desire to create something entirely original.)

“Yung ihahain naming ngayon, this time, more on pagmamahal na siya. Hindi na siya about yung sakit ng pagmamahal. This time “Paano nga ba magiging masaya sa pagmamahal?” Jireh added.

(Our current focus is centered around the positive aspects of love, rather than the challenges it may bring. This time, we aim to explore the theme of finding happiness in love and how to cultivate that happiness.)
