Sun Life, Premier Family launch initiatives for business succession planning

Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. has teamed up with Premier Family Business Consulting Inc. to bolster financial literacy and business succession planning among Filipino entrepreneurs. 

In a statement, Sun Life said its partnership with Premier Family aims to equip family business owners with the knowledge and tools necessary to safeguard their financial future and facilitate seamless business transitions to future generations.

Through a series of comprehensive programs, including seminars, forums, and workshops, Sun Life and Premier Family will delve into financial literacy, business succession planning, and the crucial role of insurance in ensuring a smooth transition.

Premier Family is a consulting firm that specializes in working with family businesses.

“We believe that financial literacy and business succession planning are essential for the long-term success of Filipino family businesses,” Benedict Sison, CEO and Country Head of Sun Life, said. 

By equipping family business leaders with the necessary tools and knowledge, they aim to create generational wealth that uplifts communities and fosters a brighter future for everyone, Jon Ramos, Founder and CEO of Premier Family Business Consulting Inc. also said.

Key executives from both firms attended the signing of agreement to enhance financial literacy and succession planning for family businesses.

According to Sun Life, its collaboration with Premier “aligns with Sun Life’s efforts to serve the needs of the business owner segment.” 

This includes the Sun Future Proof program, aimed at assisting clients in reaching their business goals from startup to maturity, while also addressing their personal objectives, it added.

“The possibilities ahead are exciting,” Sison said, noting the partnership as an important step in supporting financial health and business growth for Filipino entrepreneurs.
