In a grand three-day trade show, SM Development Corporation (SMDC) recently celebrated its 20th year in real estate at the Mall of Asia Music Hall from November 22 to 24, 2024.
Highlighting two decades of transforming the real estate landscape with sustainable and community-driven living solutions, the immersive event showcased “The Good Life” in SMDC properties.
Jessica Bianca Sy, vice president and head of design, innovation, and strategy at SM Prime Holdings Incorporated and SMDC; Grace Sta. Ana, executive vice president and head of Core Operations and Project Development of SMDC; and former senator Dick Gordon, chairman and CEO of the Philippine Red Cross graced the opening ceremonies.
The immersive event gave opportunities to guests to experience the innovations, history, and future vision of SMDC through interactive walkthroughs, inspiring talks, star-studded performances, and exclusive deals.
The exhibit featured a walkthrough of a property’s features from the grand lobby and its hotel-like lounges to the wide, open spaces, expansive amenities, commercial strips, and the vibrant community that make SMDC living truly unique.

Presentations by sponsors BDO, Chinabank, Ace Hardware, The Body Shop, Good Stays, SM Arena, Our Home, and SM Home were held on November 22.
On November 23, life coach Michael Yap discussed how to “Build the Modern Filipino Lifestyle”, followed by financial coach Chinkee Tan and his presentation entitled, “Build Your Path to Wealth”. The evening program featured live entertainment by cover band MoonJive and jazz bossa nova artist Sitti Navarro and a fireworks display.
Motivational speaker Earl Beja Paolo gave lifestyle tips while motivational speaker and entrepreneur Ardy Roberto shared information on personal development on November 24. The evening activities included performances by cover band Serenade Society and singer-songwriter Nicole Asencio, followed by a fireworks display.
In 2004, SMDC launched its first residential development, Chateau Elysee, in Paranaque City. SMDC’s properties combine modern living with resort-style amenities, creating spaces where residents live, work, and play. Since its entry to the real estate industry, SMDC has delivered over 183,000 units across the country with plans for expansion in the following years.
