Police recover P20.4-M shabu in Zamboanga City


ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police recovered three kilos of shabu worth P20.4 million and arrested a suspected drug pusher in a buy-bust operation here on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

The suspect was identified as 24-year-old Nijar Bautista of Ipil town, Zamboanga Sibugay province.

Bautista, a high-value drug target, was apprehended after he sold suspected shabu packed inside four plastic bags weighing approximately three kilograms with a street value of P20.4-million to a police poseur-buyer.

The contraband was sent to the Philippine National Police-Crime Laboratory for disposition.

Police said this city is a transshipment point for illegal drugs in Western Mindanao.
