Vice Mayor April Aguilar, who presided the 104th regular session of the city council on Monday, October 21, said their discussion centered on the endorsement of an ordinance proposed by Coun. Filemon Aguilar III aimed at prohibiting the access of minors to alcoholic beverages.

She said the ordinance seeks to penalize establishments that serve alcoholic beverages to minors.

The council has also approved a draft ordinance establishing guidelines for the registration of youth organizations and youth-serving organizations aimed at promoting youth involvement in community-building activities while ensuring their operations are properly regulated.
