Upcoming gymnasts Eldrew and Elaiza Yulo got the chance to learn from their older brother Carlos’ former Japanese coach as they set their sights on their ambitious bid of qualifying for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

According to their mother Angelica, the siblings arrived in Japan last Oct. 17 to train under Munehiro Kugimiya.
The camp was spearheaded by Kugimiya with the help of Japanese sponsors.
It can be recalled the Kugimiya was a long-time mentor of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo for almost a decade before parting ways last year.
Eldrew, 16, and Elaiza, 15, have been making waves in several local and foreign competitions, including the Palarong Pambansa.
The duo hope to earn a spot in the national team who will compete in the Southeast Asian Games in Thailand next year.
