Man dead after accidentally shooting himself in Laguna

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – A man died after he accidentally shot himself in the groin during a drinking spree with friends in Purok 3, Barangay Parian, this city, on Sunday midnight, Oct. 20.

Police identified the victim as Reggie Ronda Galang.

Investigation said Galang retrieved his gun from his bag and dropped the firearm on the floor after sitting on a monobloc chair. The firearm discharged and the victim was wounded in the groin.

His friends John Arvin Mendoza, Jimuel Amolo, Claizear Marquez, and Freddie Ilagan took him to a hospital where he was declared dead.

Police said the victim’s body will be subjected to an autopsy to determine the real cause of death.
