CAMP JUAN, Ilocos Norte – A 49-year-old farmer allegedly stabbed his 38-year-old brother to death in Sitio San Martin, Barangay San Marcelino, Dingras, Ilocos Norte on Friday night, Oct. 18.
Police identified the victim as Rodrigo Diego Jr.

Investigation disclosed that Rodrigo and his brother Rowell, 40, were having a drinking spree at Rowell’s house when the suspect, Rolly, also a farmer, heard them talking about him from his house.
Rolly confronted his brothers but the victim punched him and fell on the ground.
The suspect, who was injured, ran to his house, grabbed a knife, and chased the victim who stumbled and stabbed once in the back.
They were taken to a hospital where the victim was declared dead.
The suspect was arrested in the hospital and faces a parricide case.
Meanwhile, a 30-year-old gasoline station attendant was also stabbed to death by a farmer during a drinking session in Barangay Barcelona, Solsona, Ilocos Norte on Friday.
Police identified the victim as Vanie Galiza.
Galiza sustained stab wounds in the abdomen and back inflicted by Rogel Agno, 67.
The victim was declared dead in a hospital and the suspect was arrested in a hot-pursuit operation.
Police said motive of the incident was an old grudge aggravated by drunkenness.
