P714K shabu seized from 3 drug suspects in Parañaque

A high-value individual (HVI) and his two cohorts were arrested by operatives of the Parañaque City police in a buy-bust operation on Saturday afternoon, October 19.

In a report submitted by Parañaque City Police Chief Col. Melvin Montante to Southern Police District (SPD) Director Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang, the suspects were identified as alias Jacob, 23, listed as HVI-pusher; alias Romar, 24, and a certain alias Jaime, 18.

Yang said the suspects were arrested by the operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) during a buy-bust operation at about 3:30 p.m. in San Juan De Coastal, Brgy. San Dionisio, Parañaque City.

Recovered from the suspects were more or less 105 grams of suspected shabu worth P714,000, a cellphone and coin purse.

The confiscated drug evidence was turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.

The arrested suspects are now facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) at the Parañaque City Prosecutor’s Office.

Yang praised the intensified efforts against illegal drugs conducted by the Parañaque police in targeting HIVs to stop drug menace in the area.
