2 NPA amazons surrender in Batangas

BATANGAS CITY – Two New People's Army (NPA) amazons surrendered to authorities in Barangay Masaya, Rosario, Batangas, on Friday afternoon, Oct. 18.

The surrenderers were identified as Leonora and Lita.

They turned over a caliber .22 revolver with a defaced serial number, a time fuse, 12-inch detonating cord, a blasting cap, and two rifle-propelled grenades.

The rebel returnees are under the custody of the 1st Batangas Provincial Mobile Force Company.

They will undergo custodial debriefing and apply for benefits under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program.
