Western Visayas police net P2.2-M shabu in 24 hours


ILOILO CITY— Police confiscated suspected shabu worth P2.2 million from 16 drug pushers in buy-bust operations in Western Visayas region in 24 hours.

The Police Regional Office-6 reported that 325 grams of shabu were seized from 6 a.m. on October 1 to 5:59 a.m. on October 2.

Four suspects were tagged as high-value individuals and 12 were considered street-level individuals.

The Iloilo City Police Office recovered shabu worth P816,000, followed by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office with P782,000, and Bacolod City Police Office, P340,000.

PRO-6 chief Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky cited operating units for their achievements.

“With our strong partnership we can clear and spare every community from the menace of illegal drugs,” said Wanky. “Despite our accomplishments, we will continue to take proactive measures to fight and defeat this society’s problem,” Wanky added.
