Man nabbed for robbery hold-up in Imus; gun, shabu, found in getaway vehicle

CAVITE – Authorities collared a suspect in a robbery hold-up incident in Imus City on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the arrested suspect as alias Joff.

According to the initial investigation, alias Joff and his cohort, identified as alias Rogelio, approached a motorcycle shop owner in Barangay Pasong Buaya 1 as he left his store.

The suspects allegedly took the victim’s belongings, including his bag containing more or less P10,000 in cash, a mobile phone, and a remapping tool kit valued at P75,000, before fleeing the crime scene.

During a follow-up operation, Imus Component City Police Station (CCPS) operatives found the suspects' getaway vehicle and collared alias Joff.

Upon searching the getaway vehicle, operatives found a 9mm pistol, live ammunition, a black airsoft pistol, and illegal drug paraphernalia, including suspected shabu.

Alias Joff is now under the custody of Imus CCPS and is facing charges for robbery and violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

Authorities, meanwhile, are intensifying efforts to net alias Rogelio, who remains at large.

In a statement, Cavite PPO encouraged the public to contact the authorities for information that could lead to the suspect's arrest.
