Angkas, the nation’s leading motorcycle ride-hailing platform, is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Camarines Sur. This collaboration is set to usher in a new era of road safety and livelihood enhancement for the citizens of Camarines Sur through comprehensive motorcycle training programs.

Understanding the critical role that motorcycles play in the daily lives of the people in Camarines Sur, both for personal and commercial use, Angkas is committed to leveraging its expertise in motorcycle safety and operations. The joint initiative aims to empower local motorcycle riders with advanced driving skills, traffic rules knowledge, safety practices, and maintenance techniques. This extensive training program is designed not just to elevate their riding skills but also to enhance their capabilities in utilizing motorcycles as a viable tool for livelihood.

Hon. Luigi Villafuerte, Governor of Camarines Sur, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership. “This initiative marks a significant stride towards achieving safer roads and providing economic opportunities for our citizens. Collaborating with Angkas allows us to tap into their vast experience and proven track record in promoting motorcycle safety and professionalizing the use of motorcycles for economic purposes.”

Angkas CEO George Royeca highlighted, “Our mission has always been to provide safe and professional transportation options while empowering our riders. By partnering with the LGU of Camarines Sur, we are expanding our mission to include training and education for the broader community, aiming to make a lasting impact on road safety and economic growth in the region.”

The program is set to roll out in phases, starting with a comprehensive training course conducted by certified Angkas instructors. Successful participants will receive certification, acknowledging their competency in safe and efficient motorcycle use.
