The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Saturday, Oct. 19, that 3,845 out of 6,600 candidates passed the October 2024 Physicians Licensure Examination (PLE).
Isaac Edron Jones, from Davao Medical School Foundation, topped the October PLE with an 89.33 percent passing rate.
Rolter Lorenz Mispeñas Lee from the University of Santo Tomas secured second place with a score of 89.25 percent, while Jerickson Rodney Ngo Cua from the University of the Philippines Manila came in third with a score of 89.17 percent.
The October 2024 PLE was administered by the Board of Medicine in the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
The members of the Board of Medicine who conducted the licensure examination are Dr. Zenaida L. Antonio (Chairman), Dr. Godofreda V. Dalmacion, Dr. Martha O. Nucum, Dr. Efren C. Laxamana, Dr. Joanna V. Remo, and Dr. Prudencio Z. Sta. Lucia, Jr. (Inhibited) as members.
The PRC also announced that starting Nov. 25, the registration for the issuance of a Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done online.
Concerned individuals are directed to visit www.prc.gov.ph and follow the instructions for initial registration.
The PRC reminded that those who will register are required to bring the downloaded, duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, a notice of admission (for identification only), two passport-sized pictures (colored with a white background and a complete name tag), two sets of documentary stamps, and one short brown envelope.
Successful examinees must personally register and sign the Roster of Registered Professionals, the PRC said.
