The UAAP has slapped University of Santo Tomas big man Mo Tounkara with a one-game suspension after a taunting incident in their game against La Salle.

The collegiate league dropped the decision after reviewing Tounkara's actions that got him called for double technical fouls in the Growling Tigers’ 94-87 overtime loss to the Green Archers last Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Mall of Asia Arena.
He will serve the suspension when UST (4-5) squares off with Ateneo (2-6) Saturday, Oct. 19.
The 6-foot-8 Tounkara will be out in the Growling Tigers’ lone game at its homecourt at UST Quadricentennial Pavilion which will host two more game days in the next few weeks.
The big man got his first technical foul at the 5:41 mark of the opening quarter when he taunted La Salle’s Henry Agunnane during an and-1 play.
Tounkara received his second call and was ejected from the game in the final canto after an unnecessary reaction toward DLSU’s Mike Phillips, who committed a traveling violation.
Tounkara is one of the offensive weapons for the Pido Jarencio-squad along with Forthsky Padrigao, Nic Cabanero, Cristian Manaytay and Kyle Paranda.
The Espana-based crew is currently sitting at fourth place.
