2 high-value drug suspects re-arrested, P408,000 shabu seized in Makati buy-bust

Two high-value drug suspects were arrested again during a buy-bust operation that led to the confiscation of P408,000 worth of shabu in Makati City on Thursday, October 17.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspects as “Badong,” 48, and “Eric,” 39. They were arrested by the Makati City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit in Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo.

SPD said Badong and Eric were previously apprehended for their involvement in illegal drug trade.

Seized from the suspects were 60 grams of shabu, P79,000 in boodle money, and a mobile phone used in the transaction.

They are now in the custody of the Makati Police and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

"Well done to the Makati Police for their exemplary work in apprehending high-value targets involved in illegal drug activities. Your accomplishment is a testament to your unwavering commitment to public safety," SPD chief Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang said.
