JA Philippines launches Certification in Data Analytics & Accounting program

Junior Achievement (JA) Philippines has launched its "Your Global Edge: Certification in Data Analytics & Accounting" program at the COL Financial Office.

This initiative is designed to provide Filipino students and young professionals with cutting-edge skills in data analytics and accounting, helping them meet the growing demands of the global marketplace. The program also includes opportunities for international scholarships.

"This certification equips participants with essential skills in data analytics and accounting, empowering them to excel in a data-driven world,” Krishna C. Alejandrino, executive director of JA Philippines said. “Our goal is to prepare young Filipinos for the challenges of the global economy, ensuring they are equipped with the competencies needed to succeed.”

He further explained that the Data Analytics & Accounting Certification is an initiative that provides participants with the tools to navigate the rapidly evolving business landscape through data-driven decision-making.

Meanwhile, Francis Miranda, vice president for Asia at the International Federation of Operational Research Societies, highlighted the program’s emphasis on essential data skills:

"Data is the new currency, and those who can interpret and analyze it will have a competitive edge. This certification program gives participants a solid foundation in data analytics, focusing on seven key competencies: data gathering, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, communication, project management, and domain knowledge,” he said. “With these skills, students will be equipped to excel in the data-centric industries of today and tomorrow."
