Fans of luxury vans have been having a tough time lately. Many of the favorite options currently have limited stocks, making acquiring one quite the challenge. This puts many willing buyers on the waiting list with little new on how soon their desired van can arrive.

Those willing to look into other options may be delighted to find that there are many alternatives. One such example is the Hycan V09.

Distributed by Transcorp, a subsidiary created by Sinoequip and Transequip, the Hycan V09 is the latest electric MPV from the Hycan brand. Hycan itself is born from the partnership between GAC (Guangzhou Automobile Group) and Pearl River Investment Management Group, conceived to offer innovative and sustainable transportation solutions.

The V09 is one of three models from Hycan offered in the Philippines. The V09 is an electric MPV blends luxury, performance, and innovation. It’s form and dimensions compare favorably with the Toyota Alphard or GAC M8.

Step inside and the vehicle offers premium Nappa leather seats, crafted with a zero-gravity concept inspired by aviation, to provide comfort and support particularly on long journeys. It has adaptable seating configurations and convenient amenities like a portable table in the second row, catering to the needs of executives on the go or modern families. The second row seats are modelled after those of an airline’s business class with ventilation and heating functions.

Other features include a dual pane moonroof, and three-zone climate control with air filtration. High-definition displays adorn the dashboard, offering crisp visuals and intuitive control. The driver gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. There’s a 14.6-inch center touch display for the front and a 17.3-inch multi-function ceiling-mounted display for the rear passengers. It’s paired with concert-level sound quality with 22 high-watt speakers.

Propelling the V09 is a permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering 202-kW of peak power and a CLTC pure electric cruising range of 620-km from a full charge of its batteries. Helping maximize its electric range is its ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.265Cd for enhanced aerodynamic efficiency. It returns a comfortable ride thanks to Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) fitted as standard.

Safety is paramount with features like hill hold control, hill descent control, and a comprehensive sensor suite offering 540-degree surround view coverage, ensuring peace of mind on every journey.

Hycan vehicles are distributed and sold by an experienced player in the transport sector. Transcorp is renowned for distributing various trucks and heavy equipment, including Sinotruck, XGMA heavy equipment, NFLG batching plants, Everdigm concrete pumps, drill rigs, and others. The company has showrooms and warehouses located along EDSA, Araneta Avenue, NLEX, and Subic.

Hycan vehicles will be maintained by technicians with 10+ years of experience, and a considerable spare parts stock.
