Indian national arrested for kidnapping in Las Piñas City

An Indian national was arrested for serious illegal detention and kidnapping for ransom of his compatriot on October 14 in Las Piñas City.

Col. Sandro Tafalla, Las Piñas City police chief, said the suspect, identified as alias “Sivarishi,”22 was arrested at around 9:18 p.m. inside a food court located along Alabang-Zapote Road, Pamplona 3, Las Piñas City.

Tafalla said the alias Sivarishi was arrested during a joint operation conducted by members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) together with Station Intelligence Section (SIS) and the Station Investigation and Detective Management Section.

Tafalla said the suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Victor R. Aguba, Las Piñas City Regional Trial Court, Branch 255, on October 11, 2024 with no bail recommended for the offenses of kidnapping, serious illegal detention, and kidnap-for-ransom.
