High-value individual yields P578K shabu in Antipolo City

A campaign against illegal drugs in the province of Rizal led to the arrest of a high-value individual (HVI) and in the confiscation of over P578,800 worth of shabu in Antipolo City.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the suspect as “Ecko,” 41, a resident of Cainta, Rizal.

He was arrested on Monday, October 14, following the buy-bust operation conducted by the Antipolo Component City Police Station together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Calabarzon (PDEA 4A).

Seized during the operation were 13 pieces of plastic sachets containing around 85 grams of shabu.

According to the Rizal PPO, the recovered pieces of evidence were brought to the Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit for examination.

The suspect is currently detained at the Antipolo City Custodial Facility, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
