EEI Corporation, one of the country’s leading and renowned construction companies, was recently recognized with a Golden Arrow Award for its good corporate governance and international best practices from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) Philippines. ICD is recognized as a national and international resource for corporate governance content.
As a top-performing publicly listed company, EEI received an ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) of 80-89 points which qualified the company for a one-arrow recognition. The ACGS measures the performance of companies in terms of facilitating the rights and equitable treatment of shareholders, how they relate to different stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability through timely disclosure of material information. It also assessed how the board monitors the management and guides the company strategically. The award aims to raise the corporate governance standards and practices of the country making well-governed Philippine publicly listed companies attractive to investors.
EEI sees this award as an affirmation of their commitment to best practices in corporate governance.
