CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police seized shabu and marijuana valued at more than P9 million in the Cordillera region from October 7 to 14.
The Police Regional Office-Cordillera conducted 15 operations in the provinces of Benguet, Kalinga, and Mountain Province and the city of Baguio which resulted in the recovery of 525 fully grown marijuana plants and 16.60 grams of shabu worth a total of P9,954,085.
The Benguet and Kalinga Police Provincial Offices eradicated marijuana plants worth P8.6 million and P1.2 million, respectively.
The Baguio City Police Office arrested a suspected drug pusher considered a street-level individual and confiscated shabu worth P92,480.
In Mountain Province, a drug pusher considered a high-value individual was also apprehended. The suspect yielded shabu worth P20,605.
The PRO-Cordillera vowed no let-up in the anti-drug campaign in the region to ensure the safety and security of the community.
