Caraga's third most wanted caught in Surigao del Sur


BUTUAN CITY – The third  most wanted person in the Caraga region was arrested in Lianga town, Surigao del Sur province, police reported Tuesday, October 15.

In a report to Police Regional Office-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Alan M. Nazarro, Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office  Director Police Col. Harry B. Domingo said the suspect, Doy, 46, was arrested by the Lianga Municipal Police Station in Barangay Diatagon on Thursday, October 10.

The suspect was arrested on warrants for murder with no bail, attempted murder, and violating RA 10591,  9516, and 9165  issued by the 11th Judicial RTC Branch 28 in Lianga.

One hand grenade with defaced serial number was recovered from the suspect.

“The arrested accused was informed of his constitutional rights under Miranda Doctrine and Anti-Torture Warning during the arrest,” Domingo said.

“Surigao del Sur PPO  will maintain the stability of peace and order throughout the province by maximizing our effectiveness in our campaign against all forms of criminality,” he said.

“These accomplishment proves that the hard work and dedication of the PNP in strengthening public safety, with the support of the community, will always be effective and efficient."

Domingo urged the public to continuously support the government in its campaign against all forms of criminality to attain a secure and peaceful Surigao del Sur.

PRO 13-Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said the suspect is  under the custody of the Lianga MPS for proper disposition.
