The Tahanang Mapagpala will serve as a shelter for citizens, particularly children and women who have been neglected, abandoned, or abused.

Malapitan said the shelter is part of the city government’s goal to extend greater compassion and care to those in need with the help and support of CSWDD.

“Mas maipaparamdam po natin sa mga kababayan nating higit na nangangailangan ang pagkalinga at malasakit na hatid ng Pamahalaang Lungsod (We will be able to make our needy citizens feel the care and compassion brought by the City Government),” he said.

The mayor also assured that the city government will continue providing protection, especially to the vulnerable sector.
