Thousands of Bulakenyos, including local officials, filled the streets going to San Rafael cemetery on Sunday, Oct.13, as slain Board Member Ramil Capistrano was laid to rest.
Capistrano and his driver, Shedrick Suarez, were killed in an ambush in Barangay Ligas, Malolos City, Bulacan, last Oct. 3, hours after attending the regular session of the 11th Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) at the Provincial Capitol.

According to the initial investigation, Capistrano and Suarez died inside a sports utilility vehicle (SUV) after unidentified gunmen opened fire at them.
Police Regional director Brig. General Redrico Maranan immediately directed the formation of Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) "Capistrano" to probe the ambush.
Family, friends, and colleagues of Capistrano described him as a man of integrity, who had served his constituents wholeheartedly.
His family and relatives are appealing to witnesses to come forward and provide information that would lead to the arrest of the killers.
They said the death of Ramil must be given justice, and the perpetrators should be put behind bars.
