Pasay LGU recognized for good accounting, healthcare performance


The Pasay city government bagged two awards from the Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines (AGAP), the Metro Manila Center for Health, Philippine Blood Center, and the Department of Health (DOH) for its topnotch accountancy and healthcare performance.

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said AGAP awarded the city government with the Outstanding Accounting Office for 2023 which was held on October 9 at the IEC Convention Center in Cebu City.

Rubiano said the city was able to achieve the feat after having met the criteria set by the AGAP awards committee on accuracy, reliability, and compliance with accounting and budgeting rules and regulation.

Meanwhile, the city government also received the Antonio Luna award on October 10 during the “Dugong Bayani” award by the Metro Manila Center for Health, Philippine Blood Center and the DOH.

The mayor said the city government was recognized for actively participating in the agencies' blood donation drives.

The city was able to collect 500 units of blood during the blood donation activities from 2020 to 2023.
