MILF field commander shot dead in Cotabato City

Gunmen shot and killed a field commander of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front in Cotabato City on Sunday, October 13.

Police identified the victim as Norodin Mama.

Investigation said Mama, of Barangay Semba, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Sur, was driving a multi-cab going to Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte, when he was gunned down by two men on board a motorcycle.

The suspects fled and the victim was declared dead in a hospital. 

Mama’s companion sustained bullet wounds and recovering in a hospital.

Lawmen recovered empty 9mm shells at the crime scene. 

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
