Cine Europa, now in its 27th year, is set to once again captivate Filipino audiences with a selection of 20 contemporary films from European Union member states, Alliance Française de Manille, Goethe Institut, Instituto Cervantes, the Philippine Italian Association, and guest country Ukraine that showcase the creativity and diversity of the European cinema. From poignant dramas to imaginative comedies and animations, the Cine Europa festival promises to deliver cinematic excellence to film enthusiasts nationwide.
Cine Europa 27 will open to the public on Oct. 18 with the Polish film “Dangerous Gentlemen” at Shangri-la Plaza, Mandaluyong City. Shangri-la Plaza has been hosting graciously the film festival for more than two decades now.
The film festival is expected to travel to the University of the Cordilleras in Baguio, the University of San Agustin in Iloilo, the University of the Philippines in Cebu, and the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod from Oct. 18 to 27, 2024.
