Nico Locco confirms breakup with Christine Bermas for good

Actor and model Nico Locco has confirmed that he and his girlfriend, actress Christine Bermas, have broken up for good.

Nico made the revelation during an interview at Viva Cafe in Araneta City recently.

The Italian-Canadian actor chose not to reveal any specifics about the breakup, but he did mention that both parties were responsible for the end of the relationship.

In July, Nico mentioned that he and Christine were giving their relationship another try, one month after appearing on the "EXpecially For You" segment of It's Showtime last June.

"We're working on things. Pero siguro I will leave at that. I don't want to jinx anything. Like what I've said hindi ako perfect pati na rin si Christine. Sinabi ko sa kanya na we have two options: it's either we separate or we fix it. Feeling ko sa buhay ngayon people just give up. Ayoko mag-give up. I am always looking for improvement.

"We considered it and discussed whether we needed to give it another shot. It was a collective decision; we will try uli," Nico said.

On Oct. 10, Nico mentioned that things had changed between him and Christine.

"Wala na kami," said Nico when asked about the status of his relationship with the actress.

Nico added: "Ayoko magkwento. Kasi bilang lalaki, we're not supposed to make kwento. Ayoko na lang magkwento. Finish na."

Asked what triggered the breakup, Nico said: "No comment."

"Sa both sides, meron kaming realizations. Meron din akong realizations about her so sinabi ko wala na," he said.

Nico said he and Christine broke up a month ago.

When asked if they remained friends, Nico said: "I think in time. Ngayon, no. Definitely not. Pero baka within time. Well, you know, time allows people to heal."

"Heartbroken ako eh. Christine is the first woman I truly loved in my life. When I say truly loved, siya ang gusto kong i-marry. Siya sana talaga yung future ko.

"I bought her home sa Canada four times to meet my whole family. Relatives ko, mga pinsan ko, tito, tita, everything. Siyempre hindi mo gagawin yun sa isang tao na you don't care about. I did that for her. That's why I was hurt na hindi nag work," Nico said.

Nico stated that he and Christine would never reconcile.
