Global retail brand H&M marks its 10th year in the Philippines with a grand soirée

‘We’re celebrating the power of fashion to bring people together, break down barriers, and create something extraordinary’

It was a giant shopping bag at SM Megamall that signaled H&M's arrival in the Philippines in 2014. Since then, the Swedish fashion label has become the go-to brand for many Filipino style savants, opening one store after another across various locations in Manila and other regions of the country. As it marks its 10th anniversary in the Philippines, the beloved brand continues its mission of making fashion accessible, inclusive, and innovative.

To celebrate its decade-long presence in the country, H&M hosted a grand, red-themed soirée in Makati City. The event was graced by key personalities in the local fashion scene, friends of the brand, and celebrities such as Catriona Gray, Michelle Dee, Rhian Ramos, and Kaila Estrada, among others, all dressed in the brand’s autumn-winter pieces.

Chic and dramatic, the latest collection features bold tailoring, standout outerwear, and effortlessly chic separates, inviting everyone to make a statement that reflects the brand’s core ethos of liberating fashion.

From arrivals to the after-party, Manila's style icons embraced the spirit of H&M, showcasing how the brand continues to evolve into a true fashion force. The red-themed party, designed to engage all the senses, began with a curated dinner featuring an elevated selection of Filipino dishes. This was followed by a special performance by R&B/neo-soul artist Jason Dhakal, adding a unique touch to the evening. The night ended with an electric after-party, where a set by DJ Crwn kept the energy high, wrapping up a night of unforgettable fashion moments.

“We’re not just celebrating 10 years. We’re celebrating the power of fashion to bring people together, break down barriers, and create something extraordinary,” said Aneta Pokucinska, H&M’s managing director for Region East Asia. “Our mission has always been to liberate fashion for the many, and tonight in Manila, we're showing just how much H&M is part of the fabric of this vibrant community.”

This is not where the celebration ends. Throughout October, H&M will be offering exclusive in-store promotions across the Philippines, giving customers the chance to experience the autumn-winter 2024 collection for themselves. With offers on some of the season's most coveted pieces, now is the time to step into the new season in style and celebrate.
