Yet, the 31-year-old Romero, one of the five children of outgoing congressman Mikee Romero and socialite Sheila, has defined her path with greater purpose.

The entrepreneur, legitimate sportswoman, and now an aspiring public servant wants to become the bigger version of herself through a wider and deeper platform.

The first nominee of 1-Pacman Party-list in next year's mid-term elections champions sports development, women empowerment, and promotion of micro, small, and medium enterprises.

"I just want to help, give every Filipino an opportunity, especially the women," Milka said Thursday, Oct. 10, during her visit at the Manila Bulletin office in Intramuros, Manila. She was joined by her mother Sheila and third nominee Shey Mohammad.

Bobby Pacquiao, brother of former eight-division world boxing champion and senatorial aspirant Manny Pacquiao, is the second nominee.

The young Romero was so inspired that she plans to carve her own way, meticulously aligned to the programs of the family patriarch but with her millennial touch -- something that is pure, energetic, sensible, and full of wisdom.

"This is the continuation of my father's initiatives, but I want to expound on different issues and apply my own," she said.

Milka's priorities include holding sports clinics together with local government units, primarily in the Visayas and Mindanao, financial literacy for women, and voice for small businesses.

She also wants to emphasize the Republic Act 11930, or the Anti-Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children Act.

"This is truly my calling," Milka said.

Milka co-owns the Capital1 Solar Spikers with her sister Mandy in the Premier Volleyball League. She was the former football co-captain of the Ateneo women's football team.

She has a niche in doing business, having 20 different restaurants dotted across Manila.
