Ambassador Fluss emphasized the importance of investing in education, stating, “I believe that investing in education is investing in the future—investing in the future of your youth and the future of the country.”
“By investing in people, we invest in the future.
And we want to partner with the Philippines in
investing in the future of the Philippines, investing in the students and investing in a better future,” he added.
He also highlighted the significance of maintaining international partnerships and friendships, even amidst conflict.
“But even though we are in the middle of the war, it's important for us to continue the partnership and the friendship and develop and grow and deepen the relations between the countries, between the governments but more important with the people,” Fluss said.
The Ofakim Learning Resource Center, with its name meaning "horizon" in Hebrew, symbolizes the value of investing in education for a brighter future.
The initiative is part of the Israel Embassy’s contribution to Brigada Eskwela 2024-2025.
During the event, Ambassador Fluss also engaged with students through storytelling sessions.
Fluss was accompanied by his team from the Israel Embassy in Manila.
