Central Luzon COC filing peaceful; 163 loose guns turned over
CAMP Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The Police Regional Office-3 said the filing of Certificates of Candidacy from October 1 to 8 for the May elections in Central Luzon was generally peaceful.

PRO-3 chief Police Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan said a total of 3,384 candidates filed their COCs.
Maranan said they are clamping down on loose firearms to secure the elections.
From October 1 to October 9, 2024, he said 163 loose firearms were confiscated or surrendered to the police theough the implementation of search warrants and “Revitalized Katok."
