Salceda files COC as governor of Albay

LEGAZPI CITY, Albay - House Committee on Ways and Means chairman and Albay Rep. Joey Salceda filed his Certificate of Candidacy as governor of this province on Tuesday morning, October 1.

LAWYER Jong Bonafe shows the Certificate of Candidacy of Rep. Joey Salceda for governor of Albay on Tuesday morning, October 1.

His lawyer, Jong Bonafe, filed the COC at around 8 a.m. in his behalf.

Bonafe said that he was already at the Commissions on Election (Comelec)-Albay office here before 8 a.m. as compliance to the call to make the filing of COC simple and without funfares.

Salceda is running under the Lakas-CMD party.

His running mate is Farida "Diday" Co, younger sister of House Committee on Appropriations chairman Elizaldy Co.

She described her candidacy as a call to help.

Co has yet to announce when she will file her COC.
