Nancy Binay files COC for Makati mayor

Senator Nancy Binay has filed a Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for Makati mayor.

Nancy, who is the official candidate of the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) in Makati City, Del Rosario, who is running for vice mayor, and candidates for councilors for Districts 1 and 2.

"Maraming salamat po sa atin pong mga kababayan sa Makati. Nakakataba po ng puso ang inyong mainit na pagtanggap at ipinakitang suporta sa akin po, pati na po sa aking mga kasama (Thank you very much to our fellow citizens in Makati. It warms my heart to see your warm welcome and the support you have shown me, as well as my companions)," she said.

"Masaya po ako dahil mula noon hanggang ngayon, naririyan po kayo palagi para suportahan ang Pamilyang Binay. Asahan po ninyo na tuloy-tuloy at mas palalawakin, at lalo pa po nating paiigtingin ang Alagang at Serbisyong Binay na sinimulan po ng aking amang si former Vice President Jejomar Binay (I am truly grateful because from then until now, you have always been there to support the Binay Family. Rest assured that we will continue and expand, and we will further strengthen the Care and Service of Binay that my father, former Vice President Jejomar Binay, started)," she pointed out.

Binay vowed to continue Makati's highly-touted social services, with an emphasis on education to help stem the ongoing educational crisis. She said that she had gained insights from her work in the Senate on how to further improve governance in Makati.

"Nais po nating ipadama sa atin mga kababayan ang pusong may pagkalinga. Ito rin po siguro ang gusto nating maging direksyon ng ating lungsod – at makilala ang atin pong mga lingkod-bayan na buong pusong kumakalinga at nagbibigay serbisyo sa bawat mamamayan ng Makati (We hope to show our fellow citizens a heart that cares. This is also probably the direction we want our city to take – and for our public servants to be known for wholeheartedly caring and serving every citizen of Makati)," she said.

“Kasama po si Vice Mayor Monsour del Rosario, at ng atin pong masisipag na konsehal ng Districts 1 & 2, nariyan po ang aming dedikasyon at pangako na iangat at palawakin ang Serbisyong Binay na may puso't kalinga. Hangad po naming lahat na patuloy na mapabuti ang buhay ng bawat Makatizen (Joining us is Vice Mayor Monsour del Rosario and our hardworking councilors from Districts 1 and 2. We reaffirm our dedication and commitment to elevating and expanding the Binay Service with a heart that truly cares. Our collective aspiration is to continuously improve the lives of every Makati citizen)," Binay noted.

According to Del Rosario, Binay's running mate, he would abide by the principle of "aksyon at solusyon" which he has practiced over his decades in public service. He also said he would continue advocating for youth and sports development.

Nancy is the eldest daughter of former Vice President Jejomar Binay.

Nancy said she will continue the Binay brand of people-centered programs that former VP Binay started and vowed to sustain the gains and progress of Makati City.
