Las Piñas honors skating gold medalist

Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar and Vice Mayor April Aguilar congratulated a young figure skater from the city who won multiple gold and silver medals in the concluded Skate Asia 2024 in Taipei, Taiwan, held from August 3 to 11.

Julian Jean Quijano Plata, a young skater from Las Piñas City National Science High School, was warmly welcomed by the mayor and vice mayor during her courtesy visit at City Hall.

They recognized her achievements and for being a positive representative of Las Piñas in an international competition.

The mayor said Plata’s impressive performance in categories such as Freestyle 4, Artistic FS4, and Solo Compulsories earned recognition for both her school and the city.

The Aguilar administration acknowledged the hard work and determination displayed by the skater, emphasizing that her accomplishments serve as an inspiration to the youth of the city.

The mayor and vice mayor expressed their continued commitment to supporting young athletes in the city who demonstrate exceptional talent and dedication in their respective sports.
