First day of COC filing in Pangasinan peaceful

DAGUPAN CITY – The first day of filing of Certificates of Candidacy in Pangasinan province on Tuesday, October 1, was generally peaceful, authorities said.

The Commission on Elections-Pangasinan is accepting COCs at the Office of the Provincial Election Supervisor at the People's Astrodome here until Monday, October 7.

CRUZ

Reelectionist second district board member Philip Theodore Cruz was the first to file his COC. Cruz is running under the Nationalist People's Coalition.

Also filing COCs were reelectionist fifth district Rep. Ramon Guico Jr., board member Louie Sison, and candidate board member Jesus Basco.

Guico of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats party said he will continue to enhance public service in the fifth district.
