If the May 2025 senatorial elections were held today, ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo would likely lead the race, followed closely by his brother, broadcaster Ben Tulfo, and former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, based on Pulse Asia’s nationwide non-commissioned survey conducted from Sept. 6 to 13.

Pulse Asia’s senatorial preferences survey asked 2,400 registered voters to select up to 12 names from a list of potential candidates for the next senatorial elections.

Of the 74 names included in the survey, 13 potential candidates have a statistical chance of winning a Senate seat.

The survey results showed that 60.8 percent of Filipinos would vote for Erwin Tulfo, securing him the top spot.

He maintained his lead after also topping the senatorial preferences survey conducted in June.

Ben Tulfo and Sotto shared second and third places, with 49.6 percent and 48 percent, respectively. Compared to the June survey, Sotto held steady, while Tulfo moved from third-to-fifth range.

Meanwhile, incumbent senators Pia Cayetano and Bong Go shared fourth to seventh places, with voter preferences of 41.3 percent and 40.3 percent, respectively. Cayetano dropped from third-to-fifth range, while Go improved his ranking from fifth-to-eighth in the June survey.

Former president Rodrigo Duterte's ranking declined from third-to-sixth range to fourth-to-ninth (38 percent).

Meanwhile, Makati City Mayor Abby Binay went up from 14th-to-23rd range to fourth-to-ninth (37.5 percent).

Other candidates with a chance of entering the top 12 include Sen. Bong Revilla (35.9 percent, sixth to ninth places), former senator Ping Lacson (35.5, sixth to 10th), former senator Manny Pacquiao (31.9 percent, ninth to 11th), Sen. Imee Marcos (29.8 percent, 10th to 12th), Sen. Ronald dela Rosa (26.2 percent, 11th to 13th), and Sen. Lito Lapid (24.7 percent, 12th to 14th).

Barely making the top 12 are former senator Gringo Honasan (21.5 percent, 13th to 19th places), Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar (21.2 percent, 14th to 19th), former senator Francis Pangilinan (20.5 percent, 14th to 19th), social media personality Dr. Willie Ong (19.8 percent, 14th to 20th), and Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte (19.1 percent, 14th to 21st).
