Parañaque LGU distributes assistance to victims of violence

Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez led the distribution of care packages to 20 victims of Violence against Women and Children (VAWC) and women in especially difficult circumstances (WEDC) survivors.

Olivarez said the distribution of care packages was held at the Parañaque City Hall Grounds after the regular flag raising ceremony on Monday, Jan. 8.

He said the 20 beneficiaries received cheques amounting to P10,00 to P15,000.

The mayor said the package of care is a form of livelihood assistance for them to start a new life and have their own business.

Olivarez said the assistance was made possible through the City Social Welfare and Development Department with the aim of helping the survivors become productive members of  the community.
