DOH debunks false loan centers linked to Malasakit Program Office

The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday, Jan. 9, urged the public to exercise caution regarding a deceptive Facebook page falsely claiming association with the Malasakit Program Office and promoting non-existent loan centers.

DOH said the mentioned page was entirely fraudulent and had no legitimate connection to the Malasakit Center.

“The said page is FAKE, and is not in any way or form affiliated with the Malasakit Center,” DOH said as it stressed the importance of verifying information from credible sources.

Moreover, the DOH warned that legal actions may be taken against those responsible for perpetuating such false claims.

“Criminal charges may be pressed if related post/s shall persist,” DOH noted.

DOH strongly encouraged the public to obtain information exclusively from reliable sources, such as its official links and social media channels, to ensure accuracy and authenticity.
