DepEd urges authorities to investigate shooting incident in Sultan Kudarat school

The Department of Education (DepEd) on Tuesday, Jan. 9, called on authorities to investigate the shooting incident that occurred in a public school in Sultan Kudarat.

“DepEd implores our law enforcement authorities to swiftly investigate this matter and ensure that the perpetrators are promptly brought to justice,” the agency said in a statement.

DepEd was referring to a shooting incident in Isulan Central School, Sultan Kudarat on Jan. 8, that targeted an Education Program Supervisor of the province.

“While we find comfort in knowing that our personnel and his wife are safe, DepEd deplores such acts of violence against our dedicated teachers and personnel,” the department added.
