Operatives of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested three most wanted persons in two separate operations in Quezon City on Monday, Jan. 8.
The QCPD Project 4 Police Station (PS 8) identified the first suspect as Jeffrey Nadunza Payupay, 40, a resident of Barangay Escopa 3, Project 4, Quezon City.
The suspect was arrested at around 10:20 p.m. at Hi-Top Supermarket at the corner of Aurora Blvd. and F. Castillo St. in Barangay Bagumbuhay, Project 4, Quezon City.
PS 4 personnel served a warrant of arrest to the suspect for statutory rape issued by Presiding Judge Noel L. Parel of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 106.
Meanwhile, operatives of Galas Police Station (PS 11) nabbed Isaga De Luna, 65, and Ian Jeff De Luna, 28, alleged members of the De Luna Cardenas Drugs Group, police said.
Police said the suspects were apprehended at No. 7 Seagull Avenue., Barangay San Miguel, Taguig City at around 3:45 p.m. by virtue of a warrant of arrest for attempted homicide issued by the Quezon City Metropolitan Trial Court (MeTC) Branch 136.
Police said they will inform the courts about the arrest of the accused.
Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan commended the efforts and dedication of his personnel in apprehending persons wanted by the law.
“Hindi mag-aatubili ang inyong kapulisan sa QCPD na puntahan saan mang lugar ang mga nagkasala sa batas upang mailagay sila sa kustodiya ng kapulisan (Your police force will not hesitate to go to any place where law offenders are found),” he said.
