Taylor Swift unimpressed by Jo Koy's joke at 2024 Golden Globes

At the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, pop star Taylor Swift took issue with Jo Koy's monologue.

Taylor appeared not impressed when Filipino-American celebrity Jo Koy delivered a joke about her. He made a joke about the budding romance between Taylor and American football player Travis Kelce.

“The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? On the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift," said Jo Koy.

Cut to a shot of Swift, who pursed her lips and took a sip of her glass of pink champagne, looking unamused.

Following the joke, fans sent negative comments about the host.

English broadcaster Piers Morgan commented: “If Taylor Swift death stares could actually kill, Jo Koy would now be deceased."

Ryan Reynolds said: "How original."

Both Jo Koy and Taylor trended on social media following the monologue.

Jo Koy blamed his writers for the backlash in the monologue.
