LOOK: Margot Robbie dons another stellar 'Barbie' look

Designed by Armani, the glam pink gown is an homage to Barbie's 1977 look

Hi, Barbie! Or Margot Robbie? The Australian actress once again dons a head-turning look inspired by Mattel’s iconic doll.

On the red carpet of the 81st Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, Margot stands out with her hot pink gown designed by Armani. Fun and full glam, the ensemble pays homage to the Superstar Barbie in 1977. Much like the original look, the actress' sequined gown features a V neckline and a ruffled net boa embellished with crystals completing the look.

“I just woke up and I thought maybe this would be appropriate tonight,” Margot says about her dress’ bold color in an interview. She also mentions that she is “actually feeling” like a superstar on the red carpet.

Margot is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy award at this year’s Golden Globe for her performance in the “Barbie” movie. The film is nominated for Best Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Screenplay – Motion Picture. At the same time, its director Greta Gerwig and star Ryan Gosling are nominated for Best Director and Best Supporting Actor, respectively, in the Motion Picture category.
