Imee on PBBM meeting with Duterte: Nothing wrong with heeding good advice

Sen. Imee Marcos believes there's nothing wrong if President Marcos will heed the advice from former president Rodrigo Duterte should the two decide to talk.
"Walang masamang makinig sa mabuting payo, lalut galing sa dating pangulo (There's nothing wrong with listening to good advice, especially if it's from a former president)," she said on Monday, Jan. 8.
Marcos made the remark after Malacañang said that the President would get in touch with Duterte.
Communications Secretary Cheloy Garafil said that the President has always been willing to converse with his predecessor.
In an interview with Davao-based reporters, the former president expressed his intention to talk indirectly to Marcos on the investigations regarding SMNI, which Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, a known ally of Duterte, owns.
Last month, the NTC issued a 30-day suspension order against SMNI after the House of Representatives accused the network of violating certain provisions of its franchise.
The presidential sister earlier questioned the National Telecommunications Commission's (NTC) move of issuing a show-cause order and a 30-day suspension at the same time against the controversial television network SMNI.
"Like I said, who's afraid of SMNI? Or maybe who's afraid of PRRD? He is a revered and beloved president whose wise counsel will always be helpful to the country," she said.
