P8.2-M shabu seized in Naga City buy-bust


LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – Suspected shabu valued at P8.2 million was seized by the police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency from three drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Naga City, Camarines Sur on Sunday morning, January 7.

Police Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib, spokesperson of Police Regional Office-5 (PRO-5), identified the suspects as Jamel Delfin, a high-value individual; Sobranel Nanak, and John Carlo Onrubia.

Calubaquib said that Nanak and Onrubia are street-level individuals.

Suspects yielded 12 packs of shabu weighing 1.2 kilos worth P8.2 million.

The trio and illegal drugs are under the custody of the Naga City Police Station 5 for proper disposition.

Police Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon, PRO-5 chief, lauded the arrest of the suspects.

Calubaquib assured there is no let-up in the campaign against illegal drugs in the Bicol region.
