PAGASA: 3 weather systems to bring rains over parts of PH
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday, Jan. 6, said the three weather systems will continue to affect the country including the northeast monsoon or "amihan," easterlies, and shear line which may bring rain showers in the next 24 hours.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said Bicol Region, Caraga, Davao Region, Quezon, Laguna, and Northern Samar will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the shear line---an area where the cold northeasterly winds and warm easterlies converge.
PAGASA warned the public of threats from flash floods or landslides in times of moderate to heavy rains.
In Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora, cloudy skies with light rains will be expected, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies will be experienced in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon both due to "amihan."
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies will also be experienced in the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms and the easterlies or the warm winds from the Pacific Ocean.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may also occur in the affected areas during severe thunderstorms.
