The Filipino import logged 29 minutes to finish with a season-high all-around effort of 23 points, three blocks and five assists in an efficient 3-of-6 shooting from the outside and 9-of-13 overall.

After previously playing in limited minutes and scoring four points in his debut a couple of days prior, Oczon put his talent on full display and properly made a good account of himself in the league.

“I felt good. Many fans chanted my name. The last time the fans chanted my name was something I had never experienced in the Philippines. I am so grateful,” Oczon said in an interview.

With 18 seconds left in the game, Ulsan was trailing Suwon, 82-80, before the 23-year-old guard unleashed a three-pointer from the left wing to give his team the lead that eventually became the game-winner.

Oczon’s fellow import in American Kebe Alume contributed 17 points while local Jang Jae-seok added 14 markers.

The Mobis Phoebus improved their win-loss record to 14-14 while the third-seeded Sonicboom went home with a 19-10 slate.

Ulsan had previously recruited RJ Abarrientos, who was named the league’s Rookie of the Year last season before they mutually parted ways as the Filipino decided for his next move to be Japan.

Meanwhile, Suwon’s Filipino import Dave Ildefonso did not see action on the losing end as American import Paris Bass paced the squad with 24 points along with local Ha Yoon-gi, who tallied 23 markers.

Suwon will resume action on Sunday, Jan. 7 against Changwon LG Sakers as it eyes its fourth consecutive win.
