Man dies in motorcycle-pick-up truck crash

BACOLOD CITY â€“ A motorcycle rider died in a collision with a pick-up truck on the Circumferential Road in Barangay Pahanocoy here on Friday, January 5.

Police withheld the name of the 45-year-old victim, a resident of Barangay Alijis here.

Police Capt. Melvin Mercado, head of Police Station 8, said the victim reportedly overlapped on the lane of the pick-up truck.

The pick-up truck driver swerved to avoid the motorcycle, but the motorcycle suddenly returned to its lane, causing a head-on collision.

Mercado said the victim was ran over by the pick-up truck, killing him on the spot.

He said that both parties have yet to meet for a settlement.
